Glenn Bonagura, CEO and President
Glenn Bonagura brings to Ultreo his extensive experience with dental products manufacturers, having served as Executive Vice-President of BriteSmile, General Manager of The Gillette Company (Oral B Laboratories), and Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing for MicroDental Laboratories. In addition to his dental experience, Glenn spent many years in consumer packaged goods, both in the United States with Unilever and internationally with Gillette. Glenn has a proven track record of success, launching a host of successful new products over the years and leading numerous companies through periods of high growth.
Richard Denmark, Chief Financial Officer
Richard brings more than 30 years of corporate financial management and leadership experience financing, building and growing businesses to Ultreo. His successful track record includes public and private companies with $3 million to $250 million in revenues, start-ups, high growth and established companies in diverse product and business service industries. Prior to assuming the CFO role at Ultreo, Denmark served as CFO and Treasurer for Zango, Inc., CFO, Secretary and Treasurer for PlayNetwork, Inc., CFO, Corporate Secretary and Vice President of Finance & Administration at Pyramid Breweries, and Director, Executive Vice President and CFO of Seattle based Ocean Beauty Seafoods. Earlier in his career, he spent 18 years with Bank of America, leading commercial lending divisions in Asia and North America. Richard holds an MBA in finance from University of California at Berkeley and BS degree in management from San Jose State University.
Brian Chee, Board Member
Brian Chee is a member of the Ultreo Board of Directors and a general partner of Polaris Venture Partners, a $3 billion venture capital firm. Brian focuses on investment opportunities in healthcare, medical technology, and consumer products. Prior to becoming an investor, Brian gained significant experience in business operations and leadership. Brian is a decorated veteran, having served as Captain in the US Army Corps of Engineers. His service included the command of combat engineer soldiers during the Gulf War. As platoon leader, Brian was awarded the Bronze Star and the Army Commendation Medal with Valor for successfully completing missions while encountering enemy fire on the front lines. He also worked at Baxter International, a global leader delivering medical devices, pharmaceuticals and biotechnology to healthcare professionals. Brian holds an MBA from the Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College and a BS from the United States Military Academy at West Point.
Christopher McInnes, Principal Scientist
Dr. McInnes leads the research effort establishing the fundamental science behind Ultreo’s safety and efficacy. He was instrumental in discovering the unique operating characteristics and benefits of combining ultrasound and sonic processes for enhanced cleaning within the oral cavity. Chris has over 20 years experience in research and development, in particular coordinating both clinical trials and laboratory studies in support of product architecture, claims, and intellectual property. Previously he served as principal scientist for Optiva Corporation and Philips Oral Healthcare, Inc. Chris received a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering and a doctorate in bioengineering from the University of Washington, Seattle WA. His doctoral research focused on the effects of acoustic energy on oral bacteria and ultimately provided the underlying science behind the Sonicare® power toothbrush. Chris is a member of the International Association for Dental Research and previously served on a committee of the International Standards Organization for oral hygiene products. He is an author on over a dozen publications and abstracts in dental research and an inventor on several oral care patents.
