Q: How is ultrasonic different than sonic?
A: A power toothbrush can be defined as "sonic" if it uses a frequency within the audibility range of the human ear; that is 20 Hz – 20,000 Hz . Ultrasonic frequencies are above the range audible to the human ear; that is 20,000 Hz and above. Ultreo employs a proprietary combination of both precisely tuned sonic and ultrasonic frequencies.
Q: Is it possible to use Ultreo in other countries when I travel?
A: The Ultreo charger base features a universal voltage and frequency plug assembly for your travel convenience. A simple plug adapter for different country outlets will enable international use while traveling. A separate voltage converter is not necessary for international travel.
Q: I have a latex allergy. Are there any parts of Ultreo made from latex?
A: Ultreo is completely latex-free. The ultrasound waveguide is made from silicone rubber. The rubber on the handle and around the power button is polyurethane elastomer which is commonly used for many household tools. The handle and brush head is hard plastic formulated especially for toothbrushes to meet FDA requirements.
